MediaOne Selects eMarketing Solution from Prime
Response
Prime Response, Inc. announced that MediaOne has selected Prime Response's
eMarketing automation software to foster the development and acquisition
of longer lasting and more loyal customer relationships. Initially, Prime
Vantage will provide MediaOne with the ability to analyze, plan, execute
and track one-to-one marketing campaigns-across the spectrum of marketing
channels-providing the organization with a tool to address challenges in
the highly competitive broadband market. Ultimately, MediaOne plans on
executing multi-channel marketing campaigns via the Web and email, with
the Company's new Prime@Vantage.com software.
Over 100 eCommerce Companies Have Joined the eGain
Hosted Network
eGain Communications announced that more than 100 eCommerce companies
around the world have turned to eGain to deploy and host their customer
communications solutions - eGain Live and eGain Mail. The eGain Hosted

Butler International Selects Siebel for Its CRM System
Butler International, Inc. announced that it has selected Siebel Software
for its internal Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. In
addition, systems such as BRASS (Butler's Proprietary Recruiting System)
and Lawson Financial System will interface with the CRM system to provide
for communication and relational information for all of Butler's people. A
member of the Customer Value Network, Butler regularly participates in
discovering new ways to track, measure and improve customer quality,
satisfaction and loyalty.
EIS International, Inc. to be Acquired by SER
Systeme AG
EIS International, Inc. and SER Systeme AG, Europe's largest supplier of
document management systems and workflow solutions, jointly announced the
signing of a definitive agreement under which an SER subsidiary will make
a tender offer to acquire all of EIS' outstanding shares of common stock
at $6.25 per share. The value of the transaction is approximately $69
million and is expected to close during the first quarter of 2000, subject
to EIS shareholder and regulatory approvals.
American Airlines Selects E.piphany
E.piphany, Inc. announced that American Airlines has selected the
E.piphany E.4 E-commerce Reporting and Analysis solution to enhance
personalization efforts on its web site, AA.com(TM). The E.piphany E.4
system has a suite of analysis tools that will pull together data from web
logs, airline legacy systems and third-party providers of demographic
data, providing American Airlines with insight on the individual needs,
behavior, and profitability of the on-line AAdvantage(TM) member. Armed
with this knowledge, American will be able to improve personalized
offerings, products and services to its most loyal customers.
SITEL Joins The Centric Group
SITEL Corporation announced that it has become a sponsor of The Centric
Group, a collaboration designed to provide Customer Relationship
Management (CRM) solutions. The Centric Group is led by Ernst & Young
and also includes Lucent Technologies, Siebel Systems, Genesys
Telecommunications, Staffware, Nuance, NCR Corporation, Active Software
and SITEL. The objective of The Centric Group is to serve as a knowledge
center that will help leading organizations transform the methods in which
they interact with their customers.
PeopleSupport Announces Alliances
PeopleSupport Inc. has partnered with several Internet companies to bring
full-service, end-to-end e-commerce solutions for major e-businesses. The
partners include: technology firms such as Kana and Intershop; systems
integrator firm XUMA; infrastructure hosting company Exodus; fulfillment
company Shipper.com, and IBM's Web Integrator Initiative.
Active Software and Portal Software Partner
Active Software, Inc. announced that they have partnered with Portal
Software, a provider of business infrastructure software for Internet
communications services, to simplify the integration of enterprise
applications for telecommunications. As a result of the partnership,
Active Software will build an ActiveWorks(TM) Adaptor to connect with
Portal's Infranet(R) real-time customer management and billing solution.
