Ostream Chosen to Assist Amazon.com With Remedy Internal Customer Support Solution
Remedy Corporation announced that its solution partner, Ostream Software, Inc. was recently awarded a consulting contract to develop and support an internal customer service solution at Amazon.com. The Ostream(TM) implementation provides Amazon with an integrated solution with web-based internal customer support, enabling the use of support knowledge throughout the enterprise. Rollout of the new system will be phased over the next 12 months.

E.piphany to Acquire RightPoint
E.piphany, Inc. announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire privately-held RightPoint, the provider of real-time personalization solutions. E.piphany hopes to capitalize on its understanding of the customer combined with RightPoint’s real-time personalized interaction solution. Together, the companies hope to create a single enterprise-wide view of the customer, enabling insight and action across all touch points – in real-time.

Convergys Announces Stock Repurchase
Convergys announced that its Board of Directors has authorized the company to repurchase up to 7 million shares of its common stock from time to time as market and business conditions warrant. Convergys currently has about 153 million shares of common stock outstanding.

Naviant, Carleton, Microstrategy and Prime Response Team Up
Naviant announced it will co-host a joint cyber seminar, with three other companies. Sutherland and Olympus Collaborate to Develop New North American Customer Care Center
The Sutherland Group, Ltd., unveiled a business initiative at Olympus America Inc. (OAI) that consolidates Olympus’ regional customer service centers into an enterprise-wide information infrastructure. Under terms of the agreement, Sutherland will engineer and build a customer care center that will provide trained support professionals and a web-based portal of information and services to Olympus customers. Financial terms of the agreement were not released.

Teloquent Appoints VP Finance, CFO
Teloquent Communications, announced the appointment of Gerald Rush as vice president of finance and administration and chief financial officer. Prior to joining Teloquent, Rush was chief financial officer at EC Cubed, Inc., an eCommerce software company.
