managers: ACT, Goldmine and Saleslogic, to FaxFacts(Fax Server for Windows
NT. The Ibex migration tools leverage customers' investment in FDL (Fax
Description Language) by translating FDL scripting commands to Copia's
graphical fax commands.
Net.Genesis Expands Channel
net.Genesis Corp. announced eleven major channel partnerships to help
extend its solutions to Global 2000 and Internet enterprises. New channel

Acquisition of Periphonics by Nortel Networks
Approved
Nortel Networks and Periphonics Corporation announced that the acquisition
of Periphonics by Nortel Networks was approved by the Periphonics
stockholders at the annual meeting of stockholders held this morning in
Hauppauge, New York. The acquisition will be effected by the merger of a
wholly-owned subsidiary of Nortel Networks with and into Periphonics.
Nortel Networks and Periphonics expect that the merger will close on
Friday, November 12, 1999.
Edify Shareholders Approve Acquisition by Security
First Technologies
Edify Corporation announced that its shareholders have approved Security
First Technologies' acquisition of Edify. The transaction is expected to
close shortly.
ICL Achieves Authorized Service Provider Status
from Compaq, IBM and Other Major Manufacturers
ICL, an IT services company, has achieved Authorized Service Provider
(ASP) status from five hardware manufacturers, including Compaq and IBM.
The agreement boosts ICL's authorized service offerings for Original
Equipment Manufacturers in North America while extending authorized,
accredited technology maintenance and repair services to customers
worldwide.
Help Desk Experts to Gather in Hong Kong for Help
Desk 2000(tm) World Summit 99
Help Desk 2000(tm) announced that it will hold the first annual Help Desk
2000 World Summit in Hong Kong next week. The two-day event, being held on
November 17 and 18, will offer presentations from Help Desk experts,
networking opportunities, and tools and solutions for the Help Desk. The
focus of the event, "The Changing Role of the Help Desk
Operation," will specifically address issues such as strategizing the

Ten North Gains Second-Round Financing, Hires VP
of Client Services
Ten North, Inc. announced it has raised $9.6 million in its second round
of financing led by Bay Partners. The company intends to leverage the
funding to extend its partner relationship management (PRM) offering. Bay
Partners is joined in the financing round by previous investor APV
Technology Partners, as well as previous individual investors. The company
also announced the appointment of Scott Wilson, formerly of AOL, as vice
president of client services.
Janus Technologies Names Chief Operating Officer
Janus Technologies announced that as a result of business expansion it has
named Nick Manolis as Chief Operating Officer. In his role as COO,
Manolis, who formerly served as CFO of the company, will be responsible
for overseeing the areas of sales, marketing and customer service, as well
as finance and administration.
LIMRA Helps Call Centers Hire Top Representatives
LIMRA International has introduced new software to help companies hire and
develop top-performing call center representatives. LIMRA's ExSel system
combines four employment tests with an administration, scoring, reporting,
tracking, and analysis software package. The Windows-based software lets
clients test candidates, immediately view and print test results, and
monitor the selection process.
