Selects Kana to Prepare for Holiday E-Commerce Explosion
Kana Communications announced that J.Crew, a traditional retailer and
e-commerce site, has chosen the Kana platform to handle its online
customer communications during this holiday season. J.Crew deployed Kana's
hosted version, Kana Online, providing customers with the same
personalized attention they experience when ordering from the catalog, or
shopping in the storefront businesses. J.Crew has joined more than 40
customers already hosted on the Kana Online platform. (Read

Imagine USA Receives Funding
Keppel T&T, through its wholly-owned subsidiary Keppel Communications
(Keppel), has selected Imagine Ltd (Imagine), an Internet Protocol (IP)
communication solutions provider, as its technology partner for
Internet/Intranet-based customer care solutions. As part of the
partnership agreement, Keppel will invest US$5 million for a 11% equity
stake in Imagine. In addition, Keppel will become a key distributor for
Imagine’s Visual MeetingTM , a Live Web-enabled customer support
software for the virtual call center which delivers data information as
well as voice and video capabilities to the desktop over the IP network. (Read

Ariba and Siebel Systems Form Alliance
Ariba, Inc. and Siebel Systems, Inc. announced an alliance that will
integrate Ariba® eCommerce solutions and the Ariba Network(TM) platform
with Siebel Front Office Applications. The companies say organizations
will be able to share information between their Ariba eCommerce solutions
and Siebel Systems' sales, marketing and customer service systems to
create a system for integrating and synchronizing the selling, purchasing,
delivery and service processes.

Assistance
Brightware, Inc. announced that Surfree.com, a nationwide Internet Service
Provider (ISP), has implemented Brightware's email assistance application
to provide customer service to its subscribers. With Brightware,

Industri-Matematik Awarded Call Center Contract to
Supply Volvo Action Service with a Customer Relationship Management
Solution
Industri-Matematik International Corp. announced it signed a contract with
Volvo IT to supply a CRM solution to Volvo Action Service, the call center
arm of Volvo Parts, which supports Volvo truck, bus and marine equipment.
Industri-Matematik will implement a CRM Contact Center solution that will
provide a unifying view of Volvo Parts’ customers 1) globally, 2) among
multiple service channels, and 3) across the complete lifecycle of the
customer.
Janus Technologies Announces Alliance with
Micropath
Janus Technologies, Inc. has signed a partner agreement with Micropath(TM)
Inc., an IT asset management services and consulting organization.
Micropath will be an implementation partner of Janus and will provide
implementation services of Janus' Argis IT asset management repository and
integration of Argis with other enterprise tools.
eShare Technologies Reorganizes Operations
eShare Technologies announced that it completed a reduction in force of
approximately 95 employees, principally related to its Call Center
business. In addition, approximately 45 employees with Internet skills
will be transferred to support the Company's Internet Solutions Business
Unit. The Company will take a charge in the current quarter for the
reduction in force and certain transfer activities. The amount of the
charge was not disclosed.
