IBM And Siebel Expand CRM Partnership
Siebel Systems cemented its relationship with IBM when the two companies unveiled an alliance under which they will conduct joint development, sales, and marketing efforts. The alliance calls for IBM to sell Siebel Relationship 99 and for Siebel to sell IBM's DB/2 database. The companies will jointly market CRM technology. Siebel will build its products on IBM E-business technology such as WebSphere, Net.Commerce, and MQSeries.

Pivotal Corporation announced the Pivotal Anywhere(tm) solution for wireless access to Pivotal eBRM solutions. Trilogy Software introduced an application suite designed to help companies coordinate direct, indirect, and Internet sales channels. Trilogy Multichannel Commerce 2.0 packages both existing and new products, including server software that keeps a single, version of customer data. Imparto Takes on New Financing
Bringing the total investment in Imparto to $10.8 million, the second round of funding representing $7.3 million was led by Athena Technology Ventures and GCI Technology. Other first-round and second-round investors included Aspen Ventures and Red Rock Ventures. The company also announced the signing of New Century Mortgage Corporation as a new customer.

Sykes Reports Third Quarter Results
Sykes Enterprises announced net income of $14.1 million, or $0.33 per diluted share, on revenue of $161.0 million, for the third quarter ended September 30, 1999. Driven primarily by continued growth in its core business of technical support, earnings increased 61% from net income of $8.8 million, or $0.21 per diluted share, for the same period in 1998.
