IBM And Siebel Expand CRM Partnership
Siebel Systems cemented its relationship with IBM when the two companies
unveiled an alliance under which they will conduct joint development,
sales, and marketing efforts. The alliance calls for IBM to sell Siebel
Relationship 99 and for Siebel to sell IBM's DB/2 database. The companies
will jointly market CRM technology. Siebel will build its products on IBM
E-business technology such as WebSphere, Net.Commerce, and MQSeries.

Trilogy Software introduced an application suite designed to help
companies coordinate direct, indirect, and Internet sales channels.
Trilogy Multichannel Commerce 2.0 packages both existing and new products,

The suite comprises Trilogy Content Server, to classify sales and

Fujitsu using Clarify for Customer Care in Asia
Pacific Region
Clarify Inc. announced that Fujitsu Australia Limited is implementing

Genesys and Broadbase Announce Alliance
Genesys Telecommunications Laboratories, Inc. and Broadbase Software, Inc.
announced the formation of a alliance to offer businesses greater insight
into their customer contact center operations and e-commerce practices.
Genesys and Broadbase will jointly build and deliver solutions that
leverage valuable customer contact center information to effectively
target customers, drive personalization, increase customer loyalty and
improve efficiencies across the enterprise.
Imparto Takes on New Financing
Bringing the total investment in Imparto to $10.8 million, the second
round of funding representing $7.3 million was led by Athena Technology
Ventures and GCI Technology. Other first-round and second-round investors
included Aspen Ventures and Red Rock Ventures. The company also announced
the signing of New Century Mortgage Corporation as a new customer.
Sykes Reports Third Quarter Results
Sykes Enterprises announced net income of $14.1 million, or $0.33 per
diluted share, on revenue of $161.0 million, for the third quarter ended
September 30, 1999. Driven primarily by continued growth in its core
business of technical support, earnings increased 61% from net income of
$8.8 million, or $0.21 per diluted share, for the same period in 1998.
