Silknet Acquires InSite Marketing Technology
Silknet Software, Inc. announced it has acquired privately-held InSite Marketing Technology, Inc. of Waltham, Mass. Under the terms of the agreement, Silknet will acquire all of the outstanding common stock and options of InSite in exchange for approximately 592,000 shares of Silknet common stock. The acquisition will enable Silknet to expand the company's existing e-business product line and service offerings to include InSite's e-marketing and e-sales applications. (Read More)

FaceTime and Novell Partner to Extend Reach of New digitalme Technology
FaceTime Communications and Novell (announced that the companies have formed a partnership to integrate Novell’s digitalme™ and directory technologies with FaceTime’s business-to-consumer communication management products. As a result, e-commerce sites will be able to offer services like real time customer assistance to digitalme-enabled consumers.

Lionbridge to Create Worldwide Technical Support Infrastructure For Windows 2000 Certified Application Development
Lionbridge Technologies announced a joint agreement with Microsoft Corp. whereby Lionbridge will provide technical support and coaching to Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) within Microsoft Windows 2000 development labs around the world. They will help ISVs meet the standards of the Application Specification for Windows 2000 and have their applications "Certified for Windows." Under the agreement, Lionbridge will deploy in-country bilingual engineers based in key Microsoft development labs in ten cities around the world, including Munich; Paris; Tokyo; Sydney; Reading, England; and other sites to be announced.
