Primus Selected By Sterling Commerce to Offer eService
Primus Knowledge announced that Sterling Commerce Inc. has selected Primus Knowledge software products to provide an enhanced level of customer service to its CONNECT customers. Sterling Commerce will be using Primus Knowledge products to dynamically create a problem-resolution database which can be shared by customer service personnel internally, as well as posted on the company's extranet for direct access by CONNECT customers.

E-retailers Move to FaceTime for Communications with Customers
The company today announced that six e-business companies are using the FaceTime Message Exchange™ 3.0 suite of services to generate increased revenue by turning online shoppers into buyers. New customers include: Petquarters.com, NetGiftRegistry.com, gazoontite.com, F1-4Help.com, QuickMedic.com and Adaptec, Inc. FaceTime also announced Robin Selden, formerly of Adaptec, has been appointed vice president of marketing.

Broadbase Adds Fortune 1000 Clients
Broadbase Software, Inc. announced that three more Fortune 1000 companies have selected Broadbase for their customer relationship management (CRM) analytics. ADP, Canon Computer Systems and Kodak join a list of over 100 customers who have adopted the Broadbase solution to analyze and personalize their customer relationships.

Tivoli Manager for Retail Extends to Point of Sale
In keeping with its goal of aligning IT with business requirements, Tivoli Systems Inc. has announced Tivoli Manager for Retail, an extension of its Tivoli Enterprise management suite that enables point-of-sale (POS) systems, such as check-out terminals, to be managed as part of an end-to-end IT management strategy. Tivoli Manager for Retail helps retailers by enabling automated monitoring and problem resolution at the POS level, allowing store operations to spend less time managing IT.

Peregrine e.fleet Brings Fleet Management to the Internet
Peregrine Systems®, Inc. announced that e.fleet(TM), the hosted version of FleetAnywhere(TM), is now available as either a perpetual license or a rental agreement. These options are designed to meet the business needs of organizations that may not have access to the necessary information systems resources to operate the application.

Syntellect Enters Into Partnership With Island Data
Syntellect, Inc. announced that it has entered into a partnership with Island Data Corporation (San Diego, California), an application service provider of a hosted e-mail response management application. The application, called ExpressResponse(TM), is a response application to automatically provide answers to e-mail inquiries. Under the terms of the agreement, Syntellect sales staff will market and sell the ExpressResponse service as part of an overall contact center optimization solution.

WindSoft Selected by Canadian Pharmaceutical Manufacturer
WindSoft announced today that it has been selected by Organon Canada Ltd., one of Canada's pharmaceutical manufacturers, to implement and support a customer relationship management (CRM) system based on the Visual Elk(R) software. The new system is expected to improve sales territory management; provide more complete and up-to-date information to sales representatives; and integrate sales and marketing functions to enhance team selling, facilitate faster market penetration, and improve customer service.

KnowledgeBroker Licenses Technical Support Content to EarthWeb
KnowledgeBroker Inc. announced that it has signed a licensing agreement with EarthWeb Inc., a provider of business-to-business online services to the global Information Technology (IT) industry. EarthWeb will incorporate KnowledgeBroker's support libraries of problem-solving information into their subscription-based SupportSource "Support On Site" technical reference modules.

Zefer Joins the Siebel Alliance Program
Zefer, an Internet services firm announced it has signed a partnership agreement with Siebel Systems, Inc. Zefer 's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) unit will leverage Siebel's eSales, eService and eMarketing applications to build front office models and processes.
