Trio Announces Enhanced Desktop Asset Management Solution
HID, Janus Technologies, Inc. and QueTel Corporation announced that they have recently entered into an agreement that will help large end-users more easily and rapidly procure, deploy, inventory and retire PCs and other computing assets by using IBM Asset ID(TM) and HID ProxTrak(TM) RFID tags in conjunction with Janus and QueTel software. Under the agreement, the companies will integrate Janus Argis(R) and QueTel Asset TraQ(TM) to facilitate the management of IBM Asset ID-enabled PCs and other capital assets utilizing HID ProxTrak tags.

Active Software and HP Offer Cross-Application Process-Management Solutions
Active Software, Inc. and Hewlett-Packard Company announced an alliance to offer cross-application process-management solutions. By integrating Active Software's ActiveWorks(TM) Integration System with HP's Changengine, the two companies will deliver business-process solutions that span application boundaries. The combined EI solution will create a seamless flow of information between Changengine business processes and the applications the ActiveWorks platform supports, including SAP R/3, PeopleSoft, Siebel, Clarify, Vantive and Kenan.

TSC to Accelerate Spin-off of eLoyalty
Technology Solutions Company announced its intention to accelerate the spin-off of its eLoyalty division into a separate publicly traded company through a tax-free distribution of its eLoyalty shares to TSC shareholders. This decision will eliminate the need for an eLoyalty IPO and permit the spin-off to occur in the first quarter of calendar year 2000, subject to the receipt of a favorable IRS tax ruling and other regulatory approvals.

Service Strategies Corporation Acquires Ziff-Davis Service and Support Consultants
Service Strategies Corporation announced that it has acquired the certification, training, and consulting services business of ZD Service and Support Consultants (ZD/SSC), a Ziff-Davis business unit. The acquisition took place through a management buyout to continue advancing the programs they developed over the previous five years. The new company will continue to focus on development and delivery of the Support Center Practices (SCP) Certification program, as well as delivery of training and consulting services to the IT services industry.
