Calico Technology Selects NetManage’s SupportNow Product
NetManage Inc. announced that Calico Technology, Inc., a provider of eBusiness software and professional services, will now offer SupportNow™ – NetManage’s Internet-based customer support tool – to all of its customers. The product was designed using standard Internet infrastructure, utilizing firewall and other security standards, to extend real-time support internally or externally to customers, partners, or employees. With the click of a mouse, SupportNow allows end users to directly share vital, real-time information – over the Internet or Intranet -- with a remote or local support team.
ServiceWare Teams with CIS/ERP Players
Canadian-based ServiceWare Corporation, a provider of automated Service Management Systems, today announced agreements with two companies in the Customer Interaction Systems (CIS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) markets: Quintus Corporation and Visibility Inc. ServiceWare's partnership with Quintus Corporation will result in the integration of Quintus' CustomerQ Help Desk with ServiceWare's ServicePlus Series 3 products. Under the new agreement with mid-market Engineer-To-Order specialist Visibility Inc., ServicePlus will be offered by Visibility as an integrated component of VISIBILITY V6.3 Release.
FICS Group Chooses Siebel Enterprise Applications
Siebel Systems, Inc. today announced that FICS Group, a European provider of Internet banking and financial reporting solutions and applications, has chosen Siebel Enterprise system. The company will deploy Siebel Service Sales Enterprise and Siebel Service Enterprise to enable its customer service group to manage front-office operations, as well as provide customers with the ability to make and track service and support inquiries via the Web.

The Vantive Corp. announced today that its Board of Directors has adopted a Preferred Stock Purchase Rights Plan designed in the event that an unsolicited attempt is made to acquire Vantive. The adoption of the Plan is intended as a means to guard against any potential use of takeover tactics designed to gain control of Vantive without paying all stockholders full and fair value.
