Lawson Software has achieved SCP Certification
Internet-Based Response Management System Reduces E-Mail Support Costs
Island Data Corp., a supplier of E-Mail Response Management (ERM) technology, today announced that ThrustMaster Inc. has chosen the ExpressResponse solution to enhance its technical support operations. ThrustMaster Inc., designs, develops, manufactures and markets a line of gamecontrollers for the PC-based entertainment industry, including racing wheels, joysticks, gamepads, and flight simulation controls. In the few weeks ExpressResponse has been installed, ThrustMaster's clams to have reduced their support load by as much as 80 percent.
Making the Grade
InformationWeek Magazine reports that the 33 employees running the Pike County School System in Kentucky are all high school pupils. The kids - serving some 11,000 students and teachers countywide - are earning grades and valuable experience. In fact they are certified on the IBM Netfinity and trained on the Bendata Heat help desk software. While some problems still need to be sent to contractors, the students have an impressive record closing 1,500 work orders out of a total of 1,943.
TACT Announces Alliance With Siebel Systems, Inc.
The A Consulting Team, Inc. (``TACT''), a provider of information technology consulting, software and training services, announced today that it has entered into an alliance agreement with Siebel Systems. Under the terms of the agreement, TACT will provide implementation and integration services to customers who purchase Siebel's software.
Software Technologies Corp. Joins Siebel Alliance Program As Premier Software Partner
Software Technologies Corporation (STC) today announced it has joined Siebel Systems Inc.'s Alliance Program as a Premier Software Partner. STC will develop a Siebel DataGateWay to integrate Siebel Enterprise Applications with a wide range of other applications, databases and legacy systems supported by the DataGate(R) product suite. DataGate, STC's flagship EAI solution, enables organizations to integrate enterprise resources to support end-to-end business processes. DataGateWays are pre-packaged, integration components that provide plug-and-play connectivity.
Precision Response Corporation Reports Third Quarter Results
Precision Response Corporation today reported financial results for the three- and nine-month periods ended September 30, 1998. The Company announced revenues of $45.0 million for the quarter ended September 30, 1998, up 41% from $32.0 million reported in the same period a year ago. The Company,has also announced the appointment of Wesley O'Brien to President and Chief Operating Officer and the promotion of David Epstein to Chief Executive Officer. Mark Gordon will maintain the role of active Chairman of the Board and focus on strategic opportunities for the Company's continued growth.
