Technology Industry Veterans Launch Agillion, Inc.

Frank Moss and Steve Papermaster today announced the formation of Agillion, Inc., a new company that will use the Internet to give small and medium-sized businesses "pay-as-you-grow" access to business applications and services for getting and serving customers. Based in Austin, Texas, Agillion is funded by seed investments from Strategic Software Ventures LLC and Powershift Group, venture development firms headed by Moss and Papermaster respectively.

Active Software and BroadVision Partner Enterprise Systems and Internet Integration

Active Software(tm), Inc., a provider of enterprise application integration (EAI) software products, and BroadVision(R) Inc. today announced a partnership to create solutions for customers to integrate applications. Active Software's Integration System will be used by BroadVision as an integration platform for BroadVision's electronic commerce and knowledge management Internet applications. The new solutions will allow businesses to synchronize customer information within Internet applications with front and back-office systems such as Clarify(R), Oracle(R) Financials, PeopleSoft(R), SAP(R) R/3(R), and Vantive(R).

Vantive and MDSI to Provide Wireless Field Service Solution

The Vantive Corporation and MDSI Mobile Data Solutions Inc. today announced that they will work jointly to provide integration between the Vantive FieldService and MDSI(TM) Advantex(TM)-Field Service solutions. The integration of Vantive FieldService and Advantex-Field Service will enable field personnel to receive service order assignments and transmit status information in real-time via mobile computers and wireless data communications.

Clarify ClearLogistics Selected by Hewlett-Packard for Installation Supporting 800 Concurrent Users

Clarify Inc. announced today that Hewlett-Packard Company is consolidating its repair and logistics system on ClearLogistics Spares Manager and Depot Repair. HP's Global Support Logistics organization will use ClearLogistics to streamline processes ranging from product returns and repairs to spare parts requests for the company's entire product line, from UNIX servers to corporate PCs and LaserJet printers.

Broadvision Partners With Aspect Telecommunications to Deliver Solutions That Unite the Internet and Call Center Touchpoints

BroadVision(R), Inc. today announced a strategic partnership with Aspect Telecommunications to provide one-to-one customer interaction between Internet customers and customer service representatives (CSRs). This partnership will allow end-user customers conducting electronic commerce on the Internet using a BroadVision-enabled Web site to interact directly with CSRs through Aspect's Web Agent interactive contact solution.
