Peregrine Systems Announces Integration with Courion's Password Courier

Peregrine Systems, Inc. today announced a partnership with Courion Corporation, a provider of IT support chain automation software. Under this partnership agreement, Courion's Password Courier will be interfaced with Peregrine Systems ServiceCenter to provide support staff automation and self-service password resets.

Stream International, Inc. Selects Net Effect Systems Software

Net Effect Systems, Inc. today announced that Stream International has chosen Net Effect Systems' NEware(TM) software suite of applications for web-based support. NEware is an online customer support (OLCS) solution that allows companies to provide real-time, text-based customer support. OLCS will be offered in a multi- vendor software support service from Stream's web site, allowing customers to log on and interact directly with a customer support agent.

ICT GROUP's Signs Contract With TantaComm Systems

ICT GROUP INC. has recently signed a contract with TantaComm Systems, a digital voice recording solutions provider for the call center teleservices industry. Several of the advantages of utilizing this verification system are: real-time monitoring of sales, on-site and remote sales verification, ability to conduct re-training almost immediately, and simultaneous editing of physical and audio sales records.

Stream International and Molloy Group Pilot Knowledge-Based Call Center Technology

Stream International Inc., a provider of outsource technical support services, has completed pilot implementations of a new service for knowledge- based customer support. Initial results from Stream call centers in Canton, Mass., and Amsterdam, The Netherlands, indicate the new service will increase first call resolution rates and reduce Stream's agent training costs.

Net Effect Systems Makes Industry Debut

Backed by venture capital provided by the investment firms of Greylock Management and Trinity Ventures, Net Effect Systems' target is the integration of processes and systems to provide interactive OLCS. Net Effect's goal is to provide services and technology that will improve the online customer experience by implementing a suite of Internet-based technologies.

Software Support Professionals Association and Ziff-Davis Education Associations Report Record Number of Star Awards Nominations

At the support industry's semi-annual gathering, the Software Support Professionals Association (SSPA) and Ziff-Davis Education Associations (ZDEA) today reported that SSPA has received a record number of nominations for its annual Software Technical Assistance Recognition (STAR) Awards. The awards recognize outstanding accomplishments and superior performance in the delivery of technical support to external customers. Winners will be recognized at Horizons '98, a special event that provides a series of expert perspectives on the future of the support services industry. Horizons '98 will be held in Monterey, California, December 7-9, 1998.
