Talisma Acquires eAssist Talisma announced the acquisition of eAssist, a global provider of customer service, support, and marketing software. Talisma will incorporate eAssist's technology, intellectual property, and customer base into its operations. The acquisition will further enhance Talisma's CRM offering and will allow Talisma to better leverage opportunities in the growing Customer Interaction Management (CIM) segment of the CRM market.
Email Service Provider ExactTarget Unveils Sender ID Education Program ExactTarget announced plans to help educate its nearly 2,500 customers about their role in complying with the new Sender ID standard expected to take effect October 1. Sender ID is the new email authentication standard created to prevent domain forgery and phishing, the practice of hijacking trusted brands to fool email recipients into divulging personal financial information, such as credit card numbers, account usernames, passwords, etc. Sender ID works by requiring email senders to publish an Email Policy Document in their Domain Naming System (DNS) which states which IP addresses are allowed to send email for their domain. City of Prescott Implements LiveTime Help Desk LiveTime Help Desk has been deployed to manage the support of all IT systems and infrastructure for the City of Prescott, Arizona. The city's Information Technology Department chose LiveTime because they were struggling with the limitations inherent in their previous systems, and required more robust accountability. The displaced solution was a combination of products, which relied on outmoded client-server technology and lacked the necessary reporting features.
SupportSoft Integrates Core Networks Solutions into Product SupportSoft unveiled its vision for triple play service delivery and detailed its product integration plans for the solutions from Core Networks, a software company specializing in technologies for network monitoring, management and activation of advanced digital services for DSL and cable broadband providers. SupportSoft recently acquired substantially all of the assets from Core Networks. Core Networks' products are expected to provide new and extended capabilities for SupportSoft service automation solutions in four key areas: network management and monitoring, usage policy management, firmware upgrade management and remote management of home network devices.
