TechExcel Launches CRM 5.0
TechExcel CRM 5.0 is a high-end Customer Relationship Management software suite including marketing, sales, Web forms, professional service, and customer support solutions. This release of TechExcel CRM Suite (formerly TechExcel FrontOffice) features built-in solution template support for out-of-the-box configuration and introduces the MarketingWise Suite, providing marketing automation capabilities. This release introduces a new tool to speed evaluation and deployment of the solution via Solution Templates that are pre-configured to deliver out-of-the-box configurations.   (about TechExcel)

Pivotal Acknowledges Receipt of Onyx Proposal
Pivotal confirmed that it has received an unsolicited acquisition proposal from Onyx Software. The Pivotal board of directors and its special committee will be reviewing the Onyx proposal and, in due course, Pivotal will announce how it intends to proceed.

Oak Considers Pivotal Offers
Oak Investment Partners announced today that it believes that its current all-cash offer is superior to the unsolicited stock-for-stock proposal from Onyx to acquire Pivotal. Oak believes the risks associated with pursuing the Onyx proposal are substantial. Oak states believes there are significant transaction completion risks because it contemplates a stock-for-stock transaction and therefore both parties would have to perform significant due diligence on the other.

General Orthodontic Selects Siebel CRM OnDemand
General Orthodontic is among the early adopters of Siebel Systems' new hosted offering, Siebel CRM OnDemand. After considering building its own CRM system and evaluating other hosted options on the market, General Orthodontic selected Siebel CRM OnDemand based on the product's analytics capabilities. General Orthodontic expects to bring 500 additional accounts online in the next several months and anticipates enhancing service and revenues, while simultaneously minimizing cost.   (about Siebel)

Convergys Signs Billing Contract with Satelindo
Convergys, provider of integrated billing, employee care, and customer care services, announced a contract to license Infinys to PT Satelit Palapa Indonesia (Satelindo). The Indonesian cellular operator will use Geneva, the Infinys application for rating and billing, with the Infinys application for order management to support Satelindo's postpaid services and introduce 2.5G mobile services.

W3 Launches Prospect411
W3 Data announced the availability of Prospect411, a new product that allows businesses to generate consumer and business leads. With approximately 60% of companies devoting the majority of their marketing resources to customer acquisition, Prospect411 offers small- and medium-size enterprises the ability to build customized marketing lists online. The product allows smaller companies to market to targeted audiences at a fraction of the cost of similar programs utilized by large enterprises.

Cyber Warrior With Fuze Software
Cyber Warrior announced that it had licensed Fuze software to affordably bring customer support to the next level for their Massive Multiplayer Online Game "Rubies of Eventide." In addition to enjoying great success with Rubies of Eventide, Cyber Warrior is getting good reviews on its customer support and has been called out by GameRifts.com as "setting itself apart from the major players in MMO Games by offering some of the best levels of customer care and community relations in gaming."

Rockwell FirstPoint Finishes Strong
Rockwell FirstPoint Contact announced it met its fourth quarter expectations with 4th quarter revenues of $33 million. Total revenue for Fiscal Year 2003 was $112 million, concluding Rockwell FirstPoint Contact's third straight year of profitability.
