NorthStar Utlizes Siebel CRM OnDemand
Siebel Systems announced that NorthStar, a provider of wealth and asset management solutions to the financial services industry, is using Siebel CRM OnDemand. NorthStar is participating in an early adopters program for Siebel Systems' new hosted offering. Prior to Siebel CRM OnDemand, NorthStar relied on a collection of manual processes and spreadsheets to manage customer relationships.   (about Siebel)

ClickSoftware Delivers Field Service Optimization to Telstra
What is believed to be the largest deployment of a service optimization solution in the world, including optimized service scheduling, workforce planning and business analytics, ClickSoftware will be available to Telstra's 7,500 technicians in Australia. ClickSoftware, working in partnership with Accenture, delivered the project with a single application to allocate resources for 27,000 calls a day onto the same schedule. Telstra expects that 99% of customer calls requesting break/fix support or installation assistance will be handled in the same day.

Salesforce.com Signs AMD
AMD has agreed to buy Salesforce's set of customer service, sales and marketing applications to outfit 800 employees. The company was unwilling to disclose the dollar value of the contract but said the agreement is among its three largest. Based on the $125 monthly subscription fee the company charges per software user, it appears the deal could generate at least $3.6 million for Salesforce. AMD will deploy the Salesforce.com for 800 employees

eOn Announces Plans to Acquire Korean Call Center Solution
eOn has entered into a commitment letter which outlines the terms in which eOn will acquire NeoMecca Incorporated, a provider of contact center and communications solutions in Korea. The commitment letter anticipates a transaction in which a newly formed subsidiary of eOn will acquire substantially all the assets of NeoMecca, including its intellectual property rights.   (about eOn)

M-Tech and ILANTUS Partner
M-Tech has teamed up with ILANTUS Technologies, a provider of provisioning services to offer M-Tech’s identity management solutions and consulting services to worldwide customer base. A new Aberdeen report indicates that Services Execution and Control (SEC) solutions are increasingly important for maintaining stability and prosperity for both internally and externally focused organizations. The report evaluates three different types of solutions which includes project portfolio management (PPM), professional services automation (PSA), and enterprise service automation (ESA). These solutions provide greater visibility into operations, giving executives the tools to better plan, sell, execute, charge and analyze services- and project-based work.

Sant Teams Up with Microsoft for Proposal Accelerator
Sant is working with Microsoft to develop the Solution Accelerator for Proposals and is teaching Microsoft industry partners and customers how to create solutions built on the Office Solution Accelerator for Proposals. In January 2004, Sant plans to start delivering components for the Accelerator which incorporate their expertise around the elements of a winning proposal.
