SAP announced details on the new intellectual property management (IPM) capability, one of the many enhancements in the recently announced new release of mySAP Customer Relationship Management (mySAP CRM). A core part of the SAP for Media portfolio of solutions, IPM streamlines the creation, production, and acquisition of intellectual property (IP) in the face of increasingly complex delivery channels.

Spanlink Acquires Discern Communications
Spanlink announced that is has completed the acquisition of Discern Communications, a spin-out of SRI (formerly Stanford Research Institute). The stock swap agreement makes SRI a Spanlink investor, along with Cisco Systems. Discern provides Natural Language technology, allowing customer service and support centers to provide precise answers to customer inquiries over the web, email and phone without human intervention.

SER Announces Solution
Using SER's Quality Assurance solution, contact centers now have an automated agent monitoring capability to evaluate and improve agent-customer interactions. This solution uses speech recognition to listen to all recorded calls and flag only those calls that actually need to be reviewed by a supervisor.
