Professional Access's Accelerated ATG Migration Service utilizes automation tools for estimation and migration that can compress migration timelines.

Survey Reveals Business Technology Optimization In Widespread Adoption
Mercury Interactive announced early results from a BTO customer assessment survey. Responses from 1,200 information technology (IT) professionals confirmed that BTO is an important strategy for effectively improving application quality and performance, reducing costs, and aligning IT with business goals. Approximately three quarters of the survey respondents, representing a mix of engineers and mid- to upper-level managers, said that they are actively applying BTO in their IT organizations by: aligning IT processes more closely with business priorities (84 percent), improving the quality and performance of business applications (93 percent), and reducing costs associated with the delivery and management of business applications (82 percent).

Oracle Deals Collaboration Customers A Better Hand
Oracle announced the addition of web conferencing to the many other workplace collaboration features immediately available with Oracle Collaboration Suite Release 2. Oracle has also introduced a new pricing model for web conferencing software that enables companies to widely expand the use of web conferencing at significantly lower costs.

Ventiv Health Completes Target SFA Implementation
Ventiv Health recently announced that it has completed its transition to the Target SFA pharmaceutical sales force automation suite. Approximately 1100 pharmaceutical sales representatives for 9 Ventiv contract sales forces are now utilizing Target Mobile on laptops and Pocket PCs to manage their day-to- day activities and record critical sales and sampling data.

Network Associates Deploys Kanisa
Kanisa announced that Network Associates has deployed Kanisa4 to optimize the customer support resolution process. Kanisa applications guide customers and agents through a personalized resolution process by directing them to the appropriate solution to a customer problem, based on factors such as the product type, case information, symptoms, and problem type.

Cognos Extends Scorecarding Solution
Cognos announced it has strengthened its enterprise scorecarding solution with the launch of Cognos Metrics Manager Version 2. Cognos has also strengthened its CPM solution by further integrating enterprise scorecarding with Cognos Analytic Applications, Cognos Enterprise Planning Series and Cognos Enterprise BI Series 7 Version 2.

Gartner Survey
The sluggish U.S. economy has impacted the investments by many companies in Web services projects, but it has not killed these projects, according to a survey by Gartner. According to the survey, 48 percent of North American enterprises said the economic slowdown has caused them to reduce spending on Web services development, but not so much as to discontinue these projects.

Merrill Lynch Selects Avaya
Avaya announced that Merrill Lynch has selected Avaya Internet Protocol (IP) telephony solutions for its three-year-old corporate campus in Hopewell, New Jersey and its new regional headquarters building in Tokyo, Japan. Avaya Global Services will implement the solutions for Merrill Lynch.
