UK Marketers Show Willing For Billing The survey by Pitney Bowes targeted top UK marketers to establish their thoughts on the likely response rates delivered by a selection of marketing techniques. Most significant was the predicted level of response generated by marketing offers accompanying bills or statements. Such offers were expected to deliver a typical response rate of 6.5%, almost as high as that expected from direct mail campaigns (6.8%) and equal to that expected from outbound telemarketing (6.5%). This figure is surprising, going against the commonly held view that offers included with bills or statements will suffer from a negative consumer reaction to such communications.

Loquendo's Spanish partner, InfoSpeech, is integrating Loquendo TTS in the automated call centers it is developing for ONCE's Bibliographical & Cultural Center. Users accessing the ONCE call centers will be provided with the over-the-phone information they require by Loquendo's text-to-speech engine.
