BMC Software Completes Acquisition Of Remedy BMC Software announced the completion of its acquisition of the Remedy assets from Peregrine Systems for $355 million in cash and the assumption of certain operating liabilities of Remedy. BMC Software will not assume any of the potential liabilities associated with the existing shareholder lawsuits against Peregrine Systems or any other liabilities of Peregrine Systems not directly related to the Remedy business.
Acxiom Announces New Business Acxiom has closed deals in the last month with companies with an aggregate contract value of $85 million. Acxiom has completed long-term contracts with several new clients including Pfizer and two well-known companies in the credit card industry and has signed another contract with General Motors.
IBM And Partners Deliver IBM announced the first e-business on demand applications for medium business customers, delivering accounting, human resource, and customer relationship management applications over the Internet for a usage-based charge.
