Alcatel Completes Acquisition Of Telera
Alcatel announced that, after finalizing all customary closing procedures, the acquisition of Telera Corp. has been completed. Telera's patented Voice Web software platform uses voice extensible markup language (VoiceXML) and other open standards to enable service providers and enterprises to develop voice applications.



ATG6 Unveiled
ATG announced the unveiling of the ATG6 roadmap and the delivery of the initial Beta. ATG6 will offer enhancements to ATG Commerce, ATG Portal, and the ATG Relationship Management Platform, as well as new ATG Integrations and three new product modules.



Microsoft, IBM And BEA Deliver
Microsoft, IBM, and BEA Systems announced the publication of specifications to collectively describe how to reliably define, create and connect multiple business processes in a Web services environment. Announced were the new specifications to address transacted communications of Web services and a new language to describe business processes (Business Process Execution Language for Web Services).



TriVium Systems And First Plan partner
TriVium Systems and First Plan have partnered to sell and implement TriVium's Simple web-based Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. It is a software suite that aims to provide customer information across the entire organization, with integrated Sales, Marketing and Customer Service functions.



CustomerSat Wins Users Choice Award
CustomerSat has been named Best in Class winner in The Fourth Annual Users Choice Awards sponsored by RealMarket. CustomerSat's Enterprise Customer Experience Management (eCEM) solution was entered in the Customer Satisfaction Measurement Solutions category.

NRF, Acxiom To Help Retailers
The National Retail Federation and Acxiom announced a joint initiative in which NRF members can receive a free and confidential analysis of their customer data quality and learn how their data compares with retail industry benchmarks. Retailers simply provide a sample file of their customer data, and in return will receive a report on how their data compares to an industry score in terms of quality.



OPPD Selects Syntellect
Syntellect announced that it has been awarded a contract by the Omaha Public Power District (OPPD) to design and implement a Vista Interactive Media Response (IMR) solution. The utility will complement its web and agent-based customer service with a Syntellect interactive voice response system using speech recognition.
