IBM To Acquire PwC Consulting IBM and PricewaterhouseCoopers announced that IBM would acquire PricewaterhouseCoopers' business consulting and technology services unit, PwC Consulting. The combination of IBM and PwC Consulting will create a capability to help clients solve their business issues. Under the terms, IBM will pay PricewaterhouseCoopers an estimated purchase price of $3.5 billion in cash and stock.

NICE Systems Announces ScreenSense NICE Systems announced ScreenSense, a business intelligence application that aims to enable contact centers and financial institutions to improve agent workflow and to garner customer insights. With ScreenSense, users can trigger contact center recordings and tag calls based on screen events including values entered into CRM applications, "pop-up" screens, or function keys that are pressed without requiring additional programming. ScreenSense can be used to analyze the success of new campaigns, how preferred customers are being treated, why customers are moving to the competition, and the user friendliness of CRM applications.
