Teradata CRM For Duke Program Teradata has announced that the Teradata Center for CRM at Duke University will hold its first CRM executive program, in cooperation with Duke's open-enrollment executive education program, on November 19-20, 2001 at the university's Durham, N.C. campus. The two-day course will be taught by Martha Rogers, Ph.D., Peppers and Rogers Group, and Julie Edell, associate professor of marketing at Duke's Fuqua School of Business. Peter Heffring, president of the Teradata CRM division and an executive on the center's advisory board, will serve as guest lecturer on the evening of November 19.
More Companies Harnessing MicroStrategy MicroStrategy announced that in the first half of 2001 it secured 33 new sales in Illinois, Michigan and Ohio with companies who will utilize its MicroStrategy 7 Business Intelligence Platform to help drive their efficiency, productivity and customer relations. These sales were both to new customers and to existing customers including such companies as Whirlpool, Ford Motor Company, Spartan Stores, Big Lots, and Sara Lee Branded Foods.
Stanford U. Goes Live On Blue Martini Blue Martini announced that Stanford University has expanded the use of the Blue Martini 4 external customer relationship management (eCRM) application suite to power its community portals. The Stanford community portals will provide personalized content, information and services to students, faculty, staff and alumni, including University news, research, e-mail, search, online calendars, weather and public information.
Totality Works With Oracle Totality announced it has committed to leveraging Oracle9i Application Server (Oracle9iAS) as part of its membership in the Service Provider partner initiative of the Oracle Partner Program (OPP). Totality will leverage the platform provided by Oracle9iAS to deploy e-business applications and Web sites. more »
Industry Leaders Form Support Community TSANet announced that a group of IT companies has come together to form a support community on behalf of Microsoft Windows 2000 Datacenter Server customers. Original sponsoring companies participating in the relationship include BMC Software, Citrix Systems, Compaq, EMC, Hewlett-Packard Company, IBM, Microsoft, and Unisys.
Shell Oil Selects IBM Shell Oil has selected IBM as an integrator for its ``e-Station'' prototype, to be conducted in the U.S. Shell's e-station will leverage IBM expertise and wireless technology to link company-operated retail locations with corporate systems, helping Shell to monitor and improve its retail operations, and to reduce operating costs.
