Launches Administration Product
MicroStrategy announced the availability of MicroStrategy Administrator
7.0, an administration product for its business intelligence and Web
reporting platform, MicroStrategy 7. MicroStrategy Administrator addresses
the need to migrate objects between development, testing, and production
environments.
PeopleSoft
Ships Portals
PeopleSoft announced the delivery of PeopleSoft Portals, applications that
deliver information tailored to customers, employees, and suppliers, and
the specific roles that people play within an organization. The PeopleSoft
Employee, Customer, and Supplier Portals pre-aggregate more than 7,500
pages of content within an open and easy-to-use eBusiness framework.
PeopleSoft is also licensing the development foundation for the portals.
The Portal Solutions' technology allows organizations to aggregate any
internet content based on XML, HTML, and Java, and offers features such as
sample roles, search key words for enterprise content, company news and
events and multi-lingual search capabilities.
APAC
Signs Agreement With Apogee
APAC announced the signing of an agreement with Apogee for CRM and
interaction center management. APAC Customer Services is partnering with
Apogee Enterprises' Harmon AutoGlass business to enhance its automotive
glass claims program management.

Suite With Support For J2EE
Vignette announced that it is shipping a version of the VignetteV/5
E-Business Application Platform which provides support for the Java 2
Platform, Enterprise Edition (J2EE).Vignette's version of V/5 is a
shipping suite of e-business applications for content management,
personalization, analytics and wireless capabilities available to
companies that have standardized on the J2EE platform.
Support.com
Expands Product Globalization
Support.com announced product availability for traditional and simplified
Chinese and Portuguese, extending its global strength and presence.
Support.com's eSupport infrastructure software is already available in
multiple languages including French, German, Spanish, Japanese, and
Korean.
SpeechWorks
To Acquire Eloquent
SpeechWorks announced that it has reached an agreement to acquire Eloquent
in a stock and cash transaction valued at $5.25 million in cash and
approximately 300,000 shares of SpeechWorks common stock. This acquisition
aims to allow SpeechWorks to expand its TTS solution known as Speechify
into global markets.
Ted
Pardee Joins CustomerSat
CustomerSat announced the appointment of Ted Pardee as VP of Global Sales.
Pardee will lead the company's global sales efforts. Pardee brings account
sales experience to CustomerSat, coming directly from Jupiter Media Metrix
in San Francisco, California, where he held the position of Vice
President, Western Region.
PurchasePro
and BroadVision Announce Alliance
PurchasePro and BroadVision announced a marketing agreement, sales
alliance, and sales channel development initiative that will combine
BroadVision's applications with PurchasePro's marketplace technology. The
alliance provides PurchasePro with access to BroadVision's base of
companies. PurchasePro will expand BroadVision's presence and propel
BroadVision's sales in the market where PurchasePro has established
alliances with such industry leaders as AOL, Computer Associates, Gateway,
Office Depot and Sprint.
