Closes Payment Gap in B2B e-Commerce
Hewlett-Packard announced the launch of its B2B e-payment solution which
aims to enable financial institutions to provide their customers with an
electronic payment each time a B2B e-commerce transaction takes place. It
consists of the HP B2B e-payment handler which offers embedded payment
options and the HP financial link which connects customers' e-commerce
sites enabled with the HP B2B e-payment handler to their online financial
institutions.
Vignette
Leverages Openwave Notification Library
Vignette announced that it has completed work with Openwave by integrating
the Openwave Notification Library into the WAP connectivity channel of the
Vignette V/5 Communication Server. By bundling Openwave's Notification
Library as part of its Communication Server, Vignette enables companies to
push alerts and content to their customers via wireless devices such as
WAP-enabled mobile phones, PDAs and 2-way pagers.
NetManage
Transforms Banking Applications
NetManage reported that Grupo Bancomer is using NetManage's RUMBA
Management Server and RUMBA OBJECTX Development Kit to power the CLUB
banking transactions of Bancomer.com, the bank's Internet portal. The
project joined NetManage's knowledge of systems integration and terminal
emulation with Bancomers expertise in the banking industry to deliver an
e-business solution capable of handling transactions.

and eGain Team Up
Webhelp and eGain have joined forces to market online customer support
solutions collaboratively. eGain will market Webhelp's P2P Engage
solutions and Webhelp will market the eGain Commerce suite of e-service
applications.
Petroleum
Company Selects Astea
Astea announced that Wayne Dresser is the latest petroleum industry
company to select Astea's ServiceAlliance eCRM software to manage customer
service. Wayne Dresser will use ServiceAlliance to integrate and automate
customer service management including call center, field service,
logistics, repair, order processing and billing.
Remedy
to Implement Previo
Previo announced that Remedy will implement Previo's eSupport Essentials
in its European operations. The ``Previo Add-on for Remedy'' integration
module enables Help Desk administrators to integrate Previo software
releases into Remedy's Help Desk system.
ServiceWare
Extends Partnership With Microsoft
ServiceWare announced that it has renewed its partnership with Microsoft
to develop content for the customer support Web sites managed by Microsoft
Product Support Services. The contract with Microsoft's Product Support
Services includes content development of online knowledge-base articles
from the initial idea to the technical review and management of the
content delivery process for Microsoft products including all Windows
operating systems.
