“Day 18: Schedule a break. In your
Day-Timer, Day Runner, Franklin Day Planner, whatever time
management system you use, schedule an appointment with yourself.
This will prevent others form monopolizing all your time. You’ll
feel more in control and actually have some time to yourself to
catch up on what’s important to you. You might also set
‘appointment times’ in which staff members can ‘see’ you
to ask questions, hand off projects, and discuss issues. Making
them aware of your availability will help you manage your time.”
