Sento announced that Novell has signed a letter of intent with Sento to
handle Novell's standard per incident client support calls. The agreement
will now include support for Novell's entire suite of products, including

and ePeople Partner
PCWorld.com and ePeople announced the launch of PC World Expert Advice.
The site offers PCWorld.com visitors hardware, software, and Internet
expertise from technical professionals in the ePeople marketplace.
Visitors ask a question, view bids from prospective providers, and—after
selecting a provider based on qualifications, ratings, or price—receive
answers to their queries.
Toyota
Chooses E.piphany
E.piphany announced that Toyota Motor Sales has purchased E.piphany
software to improve customer service by enabling a single view of every
customer. Toyota will leverage this insight to guide and to measure
communications for each individual car owner.
AFSMI
Using iCommunicate.NET
iCommunicate announced that AFSMI has selected the iCommunicate.NET
e-service suite for its knowledge base solution. AFSMI will offer
self-help access to key information for both members and non-members,
providing improved services and reducing the costs of internal operations.
iCommunicate.NET’s knowledge base also allows users to access and search
association information, including membership, conference, educational,
career and resource materials.
Racal
and eGain Partner
Racal Recorders and eGain Communications announced an alliance to
integrate the two companies' multimedia contact center solutions and
collaborate on joint marketing activities. The alliance, which will
integrate Racal's Agent Quality Management software suite with the eGain
Commerce Platform is designed to offer contact centers the ability to
provide customer service across multiple communications channels,
including the telephone, Web chat, Web collaboration and e-mail.
Convergys
Atlys Release 6.0
Convergys announced the availability of Atlys Release 6.0 which provides
new functionality to enable global wireless carriers to offer an array of
data services and customer care capabilities. Convergys' Atlys solution
will offer functionality to support wireless data, wireless IP services,
and transactional m-commerce services for wireless carriers. Release 6.0
features include GPRS (general packet radio service) support,
IP-enablement for billing Internet services, event-based rating, global
roaming (TAP3) and ``pre-call'' prepaid support.
EDS
Alliance With NCR
EDS announced it has expanded its alliance with NCR to include NCR's data
warehousing capabilities as part of EDS' new CRM solutions. NCR's Teradata
Warehouse technology enables Active Data Warehousing, which gives a
company the ability to analyze and synthesize information interactions and
transactions with its customer and supplier relationships.
James
L. Speros Named CEO of Sideware
Sideware announced that James L. Speros, president and COO since 1998, has
been named CEO of Sideware, effective October 16, 2000. Owen Jones,
Sideware's current CEO, will continue his involvement in the company as an
advisor and a member of Sideware's Board of Directors.
