IBM and Siebel announced that they have extended their global alliance to
market, sell and deliver e-business solutions to mid-sized customers
around the world. The companies also announced plans to market Siebel
e-business applications directly to IBM's 90,000 Business Partners in an

inefficiencies and improve customer satisfaction.

eGain announced that The Associated Press has selected eGain Live to help
them deliver live assistance to online visitors. AP, the world's oldest
and largest news organization, will offer text chat and Web collaboration
capabilities on its Web sites to improve the speed and quality of customer
service for member newspapers and broadcasters as well as for subscribers
with eGain Live.

Selects Aspect
Aspect Communications announced that Verio has selected the Aspect
Customer Relationship Portal for installation at its customer care
operations in Dallas. Verio will use the Aspect Portal to streamline the
customer experience -- routing calls, e-mails, faxes and Web chat queries
to the service agent best suited to address a customer's specific needs,
such as those involving billing, technical support or Web-hosting queries.

and Eastman Announce Alliance
Pivotal and Eastman announced a marketing alliance. Pivotal's solutions
for XML-based demand chain networks and Eastman Software's Work Manager
Family of products will be co-marketed to provide a front-to-back office
solution. The solution will allow companies to store and retrieve
information that is best captured in digital image form, route customer
requests through a structured business process and give customer service
representatives immediate digital online access.

Tally Systems announced that it has certified the first three service
partners on its new asset tracking tool, TS.Census, enabling the partners
