Artnet.com needed to build its brand in the marketplace - to establish itself as a reputable seller so buyers would feel comfortable paying thousands of dollars for an artwork they had only seen online. And, from a technical standpoint, artnet.com needed auction software that could give its auctions a superior look and feel.
