YOUcentric, Inc. Names Morningstar President Tim Armour to Board of Directors

Charlotte, N.C., August 9, 2000 -YOUcentric, Inc., an e-Business Relationship Management (eRM) solutions provider, today announced that Tim Armour, President of Morningstar Inc., has been elected to the company’s board of directors.

Tim brings to the YOUcentric board strong executive management and international business experience. Since June of 1999, he has directed the progress of Chicago-based investment information firm Morningstar Inc., managing many lines of business, including retirement, professional, investor markets and Internet products, as well as the marketing and product support departments. Before serving as president, Tim held the position of Chief Operating Officer and served on the firm’s seven-member Executive Committee.

Prior to Morningstar, Tim was president of Stein Roe Mutual Funds, a division of Stein Roe & Farnham, where he was also president of fund trusts and a member of the Stein Roe & Farnham Board of Directors. He oversaw all business and sales activities for the $8 billion mutual funds division that generated more than $60 million in revenue for the firm annually.

Before Stein Roe, Tim served as the senior vice president, director of marketing for Citibank in Chicago. He also served more than 10 years at General Foods Corp., in a variety of marketing and strategic planning positions.

“Tim is extremely well respected for his depth and breadth of business knowledge and financial services experience, which is a key focus area for us,” said Don DeLoach, president and CEO, YOUcentric. “He will be a true asset to YOUcentric, and I am delighted to have him join our board of directors.”

Tim holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Gettysburg College and a master’s degree in business administration from the Columbia Graduate School of Business. Previously, he served three years as a Lieutenant in the Supply Corps of the U.S. Navy. He is currently a director of the TechFi Corporation of Denver, Colorado Corporation, an innovative technology firm, providing automation and support to banks, broker dealers and financial advisory and planning firms.
