LONDON – (5th October 2004) Witness Systems (Company

Studies) (NASDAQ: WITS), the global provider of performance optimisation software and services, today announced that it has appointed Aspire Technology as a Preferred Partner. Based in London, Aspire provides solutions based on Witness Systems’ eQuality® suite of customer interaction recording, performance analysis and e-learning applications, and for the first time, its eQuality ContactStore Express. This offering is designed for small- to medium-sized businesses (SMBs) and includes a powerful, easy-to-use, 100 per cent recording solution that requires minimal technical skills to deploy and use in either traditional or VoIP telephony environments. Aspire concentrates particularly on developing business in such key markets as the financial services, retail and travel sectors.
The appointment follows Witness Systems’ recent announcement regarding its Global Channel Sales Programme initiative to expand its indirect business in the UK, which already accounts for over 30 per cent of its revenues. Aspire Technology works with customers to help them realise the maximum value from their IT investment. Aspire’s solutions-based approach is consistent with Witness Systems’ requirement for partners to clearly demonstrate support for performance optimisation in the contact centre, and adopt a consultative and solutions-oriented sales approach.
“We work closely with a number of organisations in the City and in the financial services sector, which highlights the growing requirement for interaction recording systems to help meet compliance demands,” commented Aspire Technology’s Director, Stephen McAlister. “We already had experience with Witness Systems’ eQuality call recording solutions, and are now making the eQuality ContactStore Express offering widely available for SMB companies that are focused on compliance and quality recording.
“From our perspective, this was excellent news, as it meant we could offer a far more in-depth solution to our key markets. While many of our target customers run smaller contact centres, they are often major players in the financial services sector and consequently need the same levels of customer intelligence and performance optimisation,” added Stephen. “Working with Witness Systems provides us with the opportunity to extend the availability and support of its eQuality solutions through the delivery of a range of value-added professional services.”
One customer that is already taking advantage of Aspire’s Witness Systems expertise is px limited, which was established in 2002 when it secured contracts to operate, maintain and manage the £100 million Teesside Gas Processing Plant (TGGP) and the £800 million Teesside Power Station. According to Dean Henderson, IT Co-ordinator for TGGP, “Voice recording is critical to our business, protecting us and our customers. The combination of Aspire’s technical expertise and Witness Systems’ market-leading technology means that we now have a solid solution that gives us the ability to focus on our core business.”
“We’re delighted to add Aspire Technology to our Global Channel Sales Programme, and look forward to working with them as they develop their specialist voice recording and performance optimisation practice,” added David Prince, Head of UK Channels for Witness Systems. “Aspire has assigned dedicated resources to focus on selling Witness Systems’ solutions, and we have certified its team of technical specialists to perform installation and support services. As a Preferred Partner, it has full access to our marketing and technical support, sales development tools and ongoing education. Its skills, combined with these resources, truly extend the availability and support of our eQuality offerings.”
Aspire Technology has developed a series of packaged services to support the implementation of eQuality ContactStore Express. These cover the purchase, installation, commissioning and associated training of a solution for either IP or traditional telephony environments. The solution can record 100 per cent of calls up to 64 channels and enables the identification, storage, recall and replay of any calls via a series of standard queries. Aspire will support either new implementations or upgrade scenarios for customers that already have legacy call recording systems in place.
As part of the company’s Global Channel Sales Programme, Witness Systems is investing in the expansion of its UK indirect business. The company also operates a comprehensive Technical Certification and Support Programme for partners, such as Aspire, that want to provide a range of installation and support services.
