ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 15, 2004--Witness Systems (Company Profile, Past Stories, Case Studies) (NASDAQ: WITS - News), a global provider of performance optimization software and services, today announced the appointment of Bill Robinson to senior vice president of the Americas.

Leading the Americas region, Robinson is responsible for all operations - including sales, channels, customer support, alliances and field marketing - in North America and Latin America. Working from the company's corporate headquarters, he has nearly 20 years of industry experience in technology, specifically in the software sector. Robinson comes to Witness Systems with a solid senior management background, strong leadership and a proven track record in solution selling both in direct and multi-channel structures.

Prior to joining the company, Robinson served as vice president of North American operations for Actuate Corporation, a world leader in enterprise reporting applications, where he was responsible for the region's sales, services, alliances and field marketing functions. Before that he worked with Business Objects, a world-leading provider of business intelligence software solutions, where he held such positions as vice president of North American channels and vice president of North American sales, managing enterprise, vertical, general business, OEM, and reseller sales and services. His experience also includes work with Cognos, Group 1 Software and Triad Systems Corporation.
