San Jose, Calif. – October 23, 2003 -- Business Objects, the world’s leading provider of business intelligence (BI) solutions, today announced the completion of integration
between BusinessObjects Enterprise 6 and the PeopleSoft Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) suite. Business Objects and PeopleSoft have worked together to
create a complete set of analytics and reports that support the entire suite of PeopleSoft EPM Functional Warehouse modules. Business Objects is the only business
intelligence vendor that has achieved this level of technical integration.
In April of this year, Business Objects announced an expanded relationship with PeopleSoft, in which PeopleSoft obtained the rights to resell Business Objects solutions for
use with the PeopleSoft EPM suite. Today’s announcement marks the next milestone in this relationship. By the end of the year, PeopleSoft will make available more than
140 reports, 14 universes, and a security bridge that links Business Objects with the PeopleSoft EPM Functional Warehouse modules. These modules cover a complete set
of packaged analytics, including Customer Relationship Management, Enterprise Service Automation, Financial Management, Profitability Management, Supply Chain
Management, and Workforce Analytics.
“PeopleSoft Enterprise Performance Management synthesizes customer, supplier, and employee information and makes sense of it,” said Chuck Teller, vice president and
general manager, PeopleSoft Enterprise Solutions Group. “Business Objects is clearly committed to helping customers extend the value of their PeopleSoft investment by
developing the most complete integration with our EPM products. We will continue to work with Business Objects to strengthen our relationship, from both a technology and
reseller perspective.”
“Business Objects views PeopleSoft as an extremely strategic partner. The combination of our business intelligence software with PeopleSoft’s EPM modules provides
customers with a powerful solution to optimize business performance,” said John Olsen, president and COO of Business Objects.
