CRM Headline News

Boston, MA & Edison, NJ — Nov. 2, 2004 — Salesnet and UniPress Software (Company Profile, Past Stories, Case Studies), Inc. today announced an alliance to deliver best-of-breed, Web-based CRM and service desk solutions integrating each company’s respective products. The alliance integrates Salesnet’s sales-focused CRM application with UniPress’ FootPrints® service desk, providing a cost-effective solution to centrally guide, track, and manage both sales and service desk activities, and support today’s results-driven businesses. By leveraging the integrated hosted platforms of both Salesnet and UniPress, organizations now have the ability to standardize core sales and support functions through the easy to acquire, implement, and own nature on the on-demand model.

“Our partnership with Salesnet reinforces our ongoing commitment to work with industry-leading providers that can help us expand the capabilities and benefits of our service desk software product line,” said Fred Pack, Vice President and Co-Founder of UniPress. “By combining FootPrints’ capability to automate all aspects of the service desk with Salesnet’s ability to define, guide, and track successful selling activities, customers are getting the best of both worlds. The integration between our two offerings is powerful – and helps customers work more efficiently and effectively to address critical customer touch points.”

The fully web-based FootPrints product line offers a wide array of tools to help organizations automate their help desk and customer service operations, reduce support costs, and control all aspects of the problem-resolution lifecycle. In addition to its relationship with Salesnet, UniPress has executed other strategic partnerships to expand its functionality into other business areas. These partnerships have resulted in integrated add-on modules to extend the capabilities of the service desk, including asset management, network mapping and tracking, live eSupport, software deployment, network security, dynamic access to solutions libraries, and integrated telephony – all of which enable organizations to meet their specific operational needs, while leveraging their existing investments in software and IT infrastructure.

“By teaming up with UniPress, we are offering customers the flexibility to add on-demand components, like service desk functionality, without forcing them to buy functionality or engage in hefty service and maintenance costs typically associated with CRM suites,” said Ron Martin, Vice President of Sales, Channels, and Corporate Development at Salesnet. “Customers get the affordability, ease-of-use, and configurability of world-class service desk and sales-focused CRM capabilities through the ‘pay-as-you-go’ subscription model. Bridging the gap between customer-facing team members has never been so easy.”

UniPress is one of the most recent technology companies to join Salesnet’s Business Partner Program. Other Salesnet partners include Encoda Systems, ATX Communications, CustomerCentric Sellingâ, and AptSoft. Salesnet's partner program is unique within the on-demand CRM industry because it is the only program that enables partners to sell, implement, and maintain an online CRM service for their customers. The Salesnet Business Partner Program was officially announced in 2003 and has expanded to include Private Label and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) partners as well as global support for international partners, like UK-based Entelegen and Salesnet Australia.
