EDISON, NJ (October 24, 2001) – UniPress Software, Inc., a leading provider of help desk and issue management software, today announced FootPrints® Asset Management, powered by Centennial Discovery,  web-based network inventory & tracking software from Centennial. FootPrints Asset Management offers an integrated, easy-to-use add-on module to FootPrints, UniPress’ 100% web-based help desk and issue management solution. FootPrints Asset Management works seamlessly with FootPrints to identify and locate assets across the organization worldwide, and provide access to automatic, real-time information about PCs and other network assets – saving time, ensuring accuracy and speeding problem resolution for help desks and support centers.  The new product is the result of an ongoing relationship between UniPress and Centennial, a global supplier of technology inventory management software.

FootPrints Asset Management can be rapidly deployed, and easily integrated with the FootPrints solution. Organizations can dynamically identify, locate and report on PCs and other assets across the network from within FootPrints. Information is stored in a central repository, which can be accessed via simple web interface from any browser, in any location, subject to security policies. FootPrints Asset Management takes an automatic “snapshot” of a user’s complete PC configuration, including platform, hardware and software, so technicians don’t have to rely on users to collect complete configuration information, and can resolve problems faster. Agents and administrators can quickly and easily record assets, link them to FootPrints issues and view which ones are responsible for specific incidents or types of incidents. FootPrints users can also run full searches and reports on asset information.
