Sixth Patent Granted for SupportSoft's Award-Winning Technology

DNA Probe(TM) Provides Self-Healing Capability for Computing Systems


REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Oct. 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- SupportSoft, Inc. (Nasdaq: SPRT - News), a leading provider of support automation software, today announced that the United States Patent Office has issued SupportSoft its sixth technology patent. Expanding upon previously secured rights for the DNA Probe(TM) -- SupportSoft's innovative self-healing technology for computing systems -- the patent further underlines SupportSoft's leadership position in delivering state-of-the-art solutions for automated service and support.

With the grant of patent #6,442,684, SupportSoft now holds six U.S. patents for its support automation software with more patents pending.
