(Nasdaq: SPRT - News), a leading provider of support automation software, received honors at the Cisco Growing with Technology Awards ceremony held at the San Francisco Fairmont Hotel yesterday. SupportSoft's Resolution Suite technology was recognized in the customer relationship category for the software's ability to streamline enterprise technical service and support by leveraging the Internet. SupportSoft's Resolution Suite is the software foundation on which businesses can automate all of their support requirements. It provides an end-to-end solution that begins with patented "self-healing" technology that can solve a user's technical problem before the user even knows it exists. A panel of seven judges selected 12 winners in four categories from more than 300 applications. "SupportSoft is grateful to Cisco for recognizing that one of the key reasons our software has been so widely accepted is that it was designed from the start to take full advantage of Internet," said Bruce Mowery, vice president of marketing for SupportSoft. "Only by immediately delivering support to employees when and where problems occur can productivity be optimized. The Web makes our solution highly scalable and easily accessible around the clock and around the world, which is a key reason why Cisco Systems and other Fortune 500 companies have chosen SupportSoft to provide high quality technical support to their employees." The panel of judges is composed of a diverse, cross-section of small and medium business representatives. Members include: Joe Diodati, Cisco Systems; Josh Hyatt, executive editor, FSB: Fortune Small Business magazine; Geri Spieler, research director, Gartner/G2; Heather Alter, editor-in-chief, iQ magazine; Ray Boggs, vice president of small business and home office research, IDC; Dr. Christian Dussart, senior lecturer, Sloan School of Management, MIT; and Mark Quinn, district director, U.S. Small Business Administration.
