Symbian, Ltd. Completes Enterprise-wide Implementation of New TeamTrack 5.6

Colorado Springs, CO (September 3, 2002) - TeamShare, Inc., the global leader in enterprise software for collaborative product development, today announced a completed enterprise-wide implementation of its TeamTrack software for Symbian, Ltd., the leading provider of operating systems for data enabled mobile phones.  Additionally the company announced the release of TeamTrack 5.6, which was developed with Symbian's and other customer requirements in mind.

Symbian develops and licenses Symbian OS, the leading open-standard Operating System (OS) for advanced cellular phones.  Symbian OS has been licensed by manufacturers of more than 70% of the world's cellular phones, including wireless industry leaders Ericsson, Nokia, Matsushita (Panasonic), Motorola, Siemens and Sony Ericsson.  The purchase agreement establishes TeamTrack as the standard for defect tracking, issue management and business process management within Symbian.  TeamTrack is TeamShare's Web-architected collaborative process management software that allows companies to automate and strictly enforce change management and business processes with ownership and accountability.

"Tying together our development groups from around the world makes our collaborative development environment increasingly complex. We are excited to have the TeamTrack solution to tie together all interested parties and improve efficiency and communication," said Kent Eriksson, Symbian Executive Vice President for Program Management.

The announcement highlights the growing adoption by both U.S. and international organizations of the TeamTrack platform for complex development environments and change management on an enterprise-wide level.  "Our relationship with Symbian reinforces TeamShare as a serious player on a global level, and highlights the benefits of TeamTrack within an enterprise-wide environment," said Jeff Rhodes, TeamShare CEO.  "This is an exciting time as collaboration progresses within the development world and we are delighted to be a leading contributor."

The functionality for which Symbian chose TeamShare is highlighted in the company's newest version of TeamTrack 5.6, available this month. For this agreement, TeamShare added UK-based support hours and a professional services engagement that includes a Lotus Notes migration. Functionality within the new release leverages TeamTrack's process-centric Web architecture for creation of a collaborative environment on a powerful scale, across multiple departments, and with easy automated communication. New features include HTML-Formatted Notes and Memo Fields, Plug-in capability for browser-based WYSIWYG HTML Editors, Numbered Attachments and Privilege-based Change History. A complete list of new features in TeamTrack 5.6 is available at www.teamshare.com/products/teamtrack/whatsnew.html

"For complex and distributed environments, retaining format when copying and pasting content from applications into TeamTrack become must-have's," said TeamShare Product Manager Peter Tögel. "Maintaining process integrity and information security across multiple partners is what Symbian wanted when we discussed replicating Lotus Notes client server functionality and increasing overall quality and functionality using TeamTrack."

The agreement calls for the immediate purchase of licenses and lays the groundwork for additional purchases in the future as usage of TeamTrack expands into Symbian's ecosystem of wireless vendors and customers that will require usage of TeamTrack. UK-headquartered Symbian has offices in Japan, Sweden, and the USA. More information about Symbian is available at www.symbian.com.
