New Monthly Award Recongnizes Companies that Deliver World-Calss e-Service

SEATTLE, WA -- (October 26, 2000) – Talisma Corporation -- full-service providers of powerful and easy-to-use electronic customer relationship management (eCRM) solutions -- today announced that Lord, Abbett & Co., an independent money management firm, has won the first-ever Talisma Electronic Customer Service Award (eCSA).

The award was conceived as a way to recognize companies who continually strive for superior online customer service, improving timeliness, personalization and the quality of their e-service.  Lord, Abbett & Co. was chosen based on its consistently high scores in the Talisma eService Index, which measures ongoing performance in electronic customer service.  Lord, Abbett & Co., a Talisma customer since July 1999, has implemented Talisma’s eCRM solutions to increase the speed and ease of handling shareholder and broker requests.  As a result, customer loyalty and satisfaction with the company has increased significantly over time.

“We are continually impressed by Lord, Abbett & Co.’s total commitment to creating an outstanding e-service experience,” said Pradeep Singh, founder and CEO of Talisma Corporation.  “We are proud to recognize the ingenuity with which it has applied Talisma products and services to its business and delighted to celebrate the successful, productive customer relationships it has achieved as a result.”

“Being proactive about customer satisfaction is essential in our industry,” said Cary Carbonaro, director of electronic marketing for Lord, Abbett & Co.  “Talisma’s eCRM solutions give us a competitive advantage over other money management firms by helping us deliver outstanding customer service in an easy and affordable way.  We want the interaction with our site and e- customer service to be a ‘WOW!’ Talisma’s product helps us deliver on that promise.”

Talisma will announce a new eCSA winner in a designated industry each month – in Lord Abbett’s case, the financial industry.  Each winner will receive a plaque, an eCustomer Service Award logo to be displayed on its site, and $500 to be donated to a charity of its choice.  Lord, Abbett & Co. will donate the money to The Golden Door Charter School in New Jersey.  Additionally, Talisma will recognize Lord, Abbett & Co., as well as future winners, on its Web site at www.talisma.com, and in the Talisma eSource Newsletter, which reaches more than 11,000 readers.
