Dan Vetras Joins Talisma as President and COO

Seasoned executive brings over 21 years of industry experience to Talisma

SEATTLE, October 11, 2002 - Talisma announced the appointment of Dan Vetras to its executive team as President and COO.  He is a highly experienced sales and channel development executive with more than 21 years of experience in technology, sales management and business development.  “I’m glad to have the opportunity to join Talisma at this time,” commented Vetras.  “Talisma has a fantastic business model, great products and services and momentum in customer service management.  We have a tremendous opportunity to leverage all of these assets and have a major impact in the industry,” commented Vetras.  

As President and COO, Dan assumes responsibility in running day-to-day operations at Talisma.  “He has been on board less than a week and has already made significant impact in his decisiveness with the experience he brings to Talisma,” said Pradeep Singh, CEO and founder of Talisma.  

Prior to joining Talisma, Vetras was President and CEO at Captura.  At Captura, he was responsible for the Total Expense Management software company’s overall strategic direction and operation and led the executive team, consisting of product development, professional services, sales, marketing, finance, operations, and international business.  He also held positions at Intranets.com as Vice President of Sales, where his duties included directing worldwide sales initiatives and channel development activities, IBM as Worldwide Consumer Software Sales and Channel Marketing upon its acquisition of Edmark Corporation, and Edmark Corporation as Vice President of Consumer Sales and Channel Marketing.  His technical, sales and channel management experience also include more than seven years of various sales and business development positions at Lotus Development Corporation.
