The Sutherland Group Joins the Siebel Alliance Program

Premier Professional Services Firm to Offer Siebel eBusiness Applications in a Hosted Environment

Rochester, NY - August 8, 2000 - The Sutherland Group, Ltd., a leading provider of electronic Customer Relationship Management (eCRM) professional and technology services, today announced an alliance with Siebel Systems (NASDAQ: SEBL), the world’s leading supplier of eBusiness application software. Sutherland is now recognized as a provider of Application Hosting services for Siebel eBusiness Applications.

Under the terms of the agreement, Sutherland will integrate Siebel eBusiness Applications with Suthernet(tm) - the company’s high performance communications network infrastructure - to offer clients a hosted, end-to-end eBusiness solution for a fixed, monthly fee. Along with Siebel eBusiness Applications, Sutherland has selected complementary technologies from other market-leading software vendors to be a part of their Partner Consortium delivered over Suthernet(tm).

The Suthernet(tm) solution delivers multi-channel customer interaction capabilities such as IVR, universal queuing, CTI, voice/IP switching, sales force automation, customer service and support applications, Web-based lead management, Web-based self-service, interactive personalized selling, interactive conferencing, and the associated hardware and network connectivity.

Companies are now able to reduce their time-to-market by leveraging Siebel Systems’ top-tier eBusiness application software deployed over Suthernet(tm) on a monthly subscription basis, leveraging Sutherland’s software configuration, integration, and management expertise and professional services such as technical support, training, and business process management.
