Trend Micro Is First Antivirus Software Vendor to Earn Prestigious Support Center Practices (SCP) Certification

Certification recognizes Trend Micro for enterprise support excellence

Cupertino, CA – 12/19/02 - Trend Micro Inc.(NASDAQ: TMIC, TSE: 4704), a worldwide leader in network antivirus and Internet content security, announced today that its U.S. Premium Support organization has achieved the prestigious Support Center Practices (SCP) Certification and is the first support group for an antivirus software vendor to receive such recognition. Trend Micro was awarded the certificate shortly after the extensive audit of its Lake Forest, CA support center. The SCP certification measures the effectiveness of customer support based upon a stringent set of performance standards that represents the best practices in the industry.
