Software Spectrum’s Support Services Recognized Second Year in a Row For Its Outstanding Accomplishments And Superior Performance

     Dallas, TEXAS, October 10, 2000 – Software Spectrum, Inc. (NASDAQ: SSPE), a global supplier of software and technology services, recently was honored with the Software Support Professionals Association (SSPA) STAR Award for its outstanding accomplishments and superior performance in the delivery of technical support to external customers. STAR stands for Software Technical Assistance Recognition and has become a coveted prize since the program was established in 1990. This award marks the second consecutive year Software Spectrum has received the STAR Award.

primary business after illustrating a dramatic improvement in customer satisfaction, world class service offerings, effective customer relationship management, performance measurements and staff retention programs resulting in an overall outstanding operation.
