Peachtree Software Earns Prestigious Support Center Practices (SCP) Certification for the Second Consecutive Year

Certification Recognizes Peachtree for Delivering Top Quality Support

ATLANTA, August 22, 2002 - Peachtree Software, a subsidiary of Best Software, announced today that its Peachtree Customer Division has achieved certification under the prestigious Support Center Practices (SCP) Certification program, the highest recognition available for excellence in support center practices. For the second year in a row, Peachtree achieved certification after an extensive audit of its internal customer support center in Atlanta. SCP Certification quantifies the effectiveness of customer support based upon a stringent set of performance standards and represents the best practices in the industry.

SCP Certification, which was created with the Service & Support Professionals Association (SSPA), requires comprehensive on-site audits to confirm that companies meet the requirements of more than 100 business elements defined in the SCP program. SCP Certification measures factors such as corporate commitment and strategic direction, customer satisfaction, performance metrics, research and development interface and other strategic areas of the support operation. Certified companies must continue to demonstrate their commitment to excellence and high performance standards through annual re-certification audits.

Peachtree once again joins the ranks of leading technology companies that have achieved SCP Certification. Currently, more than 80 companies, representing approximately 200 support centers around the world, are participating in the SCP program. These companies include industry leaders such as McKesson Corporation, Lockheed Martin, Rockwell Automation, PeopleSoft, Inc., Xerox and CompuCom Systems, Inc., among others.
