CRM Headline News

SAN MATEO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 12, 2003-- Siebel Systems (Company Profile, Past Stories, Case Studies), Inc. (Nasdaq:SEBL - News), a leading provider of multichannel eBusiness applications software, today announced that Inveresk Research (Nasdaq:IRGI - News), one of the world's leading drug development services companies, selected Siebel Clinical to optimize its clients' drug development process. Siebel Clinical, the only trial management system that is fully integrated with sales force automation, sales and marketing analytics, and marketing campaign management, will replace Inveresk's clinical trial management systems with a coordinated, global view of each and every trial.

Inveresk, headquartered in Cary, North Carolina, will deploy Siebel Pharma's Web-based clinical trial management solution to streamline its clients' product development process by creating a shared, real-time view of investigator relationships, clinical research associate activities, and clinical trial status. As a result, Inveresk will increase the efficiency and effectiveness of its clinical trials and enhance its relationships with pharmaceutical and biotechnology customers worldwide.

"The functionality of Siebel Clinical will allow Inveresk to share clinical trial information across teams and deliver superior services and support to our clients," said Alastair McEwan, President, Global Clinical, Inveresk Research Group, Inc. "By streamlining trial planning and the coordination of activities, Inveresk will optimize resource allocation, increase efficiency, and reduce development costs for our clients."

More than 1,000 Inveresk clinical employees in 20 countries will benefit from easy access to a single repository of investigator, site coordinator, and patient information. Inveresk will use Siebel Clinical to track study site trip reports; clinical trial status, activity, and calendar management; management reports; and regulatory information. By automating several clinical trial processes and compressing clinical trial timelines, Siebel Clinical will significantly simplify patient recruitment while enhancing trial performance and investigator and customer satisfaction.
