SAN MATEO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 26, 2003-- Siebel Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:SEBL - News) (Company
Profile, Past
Stories, Case
Studies), a leading provider of multichannel eBusiness applications software, today announced that XO Communications, Inc. has launched a major
customer relationship management (CRM) initiative that relies on an upgrade to Siebel Communications 7.5. XO expects the solution's enhanced order management
functionality and other new capabilities to help the company reduce operational costs and streamline operations.
"According to a customer survey conducted in late 2002, XO has consistently maintained an impressive customer satisfaction index percent of over 80 percent,"
said Rob Geller, Chief Information Officer at XO. "This upgrade to Siebel Communications 7.5 will allow XO to maintain that superior customer service while giving the
company new tools to increase productivity and reduce costs. Because Siebel Communications 7.5's out-of-the-box functionality is tailored for communications providers
like XO, employees are up and running quickly on the new system without spending a lot of time and money customizing the software."
Siebel Communications 7.5 will give approximately 3,000 users across all XO business units, including all sales channels and call centers, a 360-degree customer view.
Moreover, it will interface with the XO provisioning, billing, and other back-office systems, further streamlining operations and reducing costs. The company plans to be fully
deployed by September 2003.
The new system is designed to deliver important benefits that will help XO achieve its CRM objectives, including:
Faster, more accurate product configurations
Reduced costs through the elimination of incorrect orders
On-time delivery of services
Rapid time to deployment and faster upgrades
"With our aggressive CRM strategy, we are better positioned than ever to meet the telecommunications needs of our customers," says Rose Hauser, Vice
President of Information Technology at XO Communications. "We believe that the new Siebel solution will give us greater ease of use, higher performance, and easier
integration with our provisioning and billing systems. What's most important, though, is that it is designed to help us improve the quality of our customer care, so we can
better serve our existing customers."
