RESTON, Va., December 8, 2000 – Sideware (TSE: SYD.U and OTC (BB): SDWS), a leading developer of customer service solutions for e-business, today announced the appointment of Siddhartha Dhingra as its vice president of product management and strategy.  Dhingra, who most recently helped launch Oracle’s wireless application service provider division OracleMobile, will lead Sideware’s product management team.  His responsibilities include setting Sideware’s product and strategic direction and working with the company’s world-class development group on next-generation eCRM enterprise solutions.

“Sid’s combination of product management and early adopter technological expertise make him the ideal person to head up our product management team,” said James Speros, president and CEO of Sideware.  “He will play an important role at Sideware in helping us determine future market demands and the product development necessary to meet those demands, which is all part of our go-to-market strategy.”

During his four year tenure at Oracle, Dhingra was involved with the early adopter customers of Oracle’s e-Commerce and wireless products.  At OracleMobile, he built a global team of experienced managers and technical staff who were responsible for the delivery of hosted wireless applications.  As part of these responsibilities, he defined the division’s engagement model and operational processes, including daily support and reporting, which has been trademarked as mSpeed™.  He also opened OracleMobile’s offices in the Washington DC area and in Bangalore, India.

Prior to OracleMobile, Dhingra was part of Oracle Consulting’s Advanced Technologies group.  Here he played many roles including heading up a wireless and m- commerce practice.  He worked with early adopter customers to help them understand the wireless Internet market space and Oracle technologies.  His other responsibilities included early adoption initiatives for e-commerce and iTV technologies.

Previously, Dhingra worked with various consulting groups focusing in the areas of digital image processing and workflow.  He holds a bachelor of science degree from Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY.
