ServiceWare Appoints Scott Schwartzman as Chief Operating Officer

OAKMONT, Pa.-Oct. 30, 2001--ServiceWare Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq:SVCW - news), a leading provider of enterprise solutions for service and support, today announced the appointment of Scott Schwartzman to chief operating officer. In this new role, Schwartzman will be responsible for the planning and execution of major strategic initiatives and managing all aspects of operations. Schwartzman's primary goals include expediting future product releases that provide customers with increased functionality, driving sales, and maintaining a services organization focused on complete customer satisfaction.

Schwartzman joined ServiceWare as vice president of global enterprise services in October 2000, and brings to the position more than 14 years senior level business and technology experience. Prior to joining ServiceWare, Schwartzman was vice president of professional services at Firepond, an eCRM vendor, where he oversaw a 150-person team covering consulting services, training and technical support. Before Firepond, Schwartzman held several key positions at SAP America, Star Dynamic Corporation, Dep Corporation and Revlon Corporation.
