Oakmont, PA – October 19, 1998 – For the second consecutive year, knowledge management leader ServiceWare Inc. is listed on Inc. magazine's "Inc. 500" list, the magazine's comprehensive guide to America's fastest-growing privately held companies.

The magazine ranks ServiceWare No. 150 of the 500 fast-growing companies on the the1998 list. As such, the Inc. 500 list rates ServiceWare as the: Fastest growing provider of products and services for knowledge-based customer support; Fastest growing software company based in the tri-state region of Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia; Fastest growing privately held company (all industries) in western Pennsylvania. Noteworthy alumni of the Inc. 500 list, now in its 17th year, include household corporate names such as Microsoft, Oracle, Gateway 2000 and U.S. Robotics. To be eligible for the Inc. 500, companies must be independent and privately held through 1997, and must demonstrate a sales increase from fiscal year 1996 to 1997.
