Will deploy fast-response scheduling solution for UK field force

Annapolis, MD and Stockport, UK, October 7, 2003 -- ServicePower (Company Profile, Past Stories, Case Studies) (LSE: SVR), a global developer and supplier of workforce optimization software for the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) market, today announced a contract to support Novar/Gent Services, part of the Novar plc group. Novar/Gent is internationally recognized for designing and manufacturing fire safety products and is firmly established as the UK market leader in fire detection and alarm systems.  The enterprise-wide contract will initially schedule the work of more than 230 technicians in the UK working for their services division, who install, repair, and maintain fire and safety systems for commercial buildings.  SERVICEPower will enable Novar Services to efficiently integrate the allocation of fast-response, emergency repair jobs with their planned maintenance work.

“We awarded the contract to ServicePower after a comprehensive evaluation of the available scheduling packages; we chose SERVICEPower because of its ability to deliver the real-time, fast-response scheduling solution that we need to be competitive in our industry,” commented John Battersby, service director for Novar Services.  In addition, a key selection criterion for Novar Services was that the supplier must be able to fit into their European SAP strategy, which ServicePower will accomplish by supplying its SAP Connector module to facilitate seamless integration.

The contract is initially worth GBP 400,000 ($640,000) and additionally provides for Novar Services to rollout the SAP / SERVICEPower solution across its European operations.  “This is a new industry segment for ServicePower, and we are very pleased to be awarded this contract, particularly since Novar Services operates in a very competitive industry with a mix of business requirements.  To deliver a complex European-wide solution to this type of client is just what SERVICEPower was developed to do,” said Derek Crumpton, ServicePower general manager, Europe.
