Interact Commerce and CoVia Partner to Enable Private Web Sites on Interact.com

New Internet Service Increases Customer Interactions Through Collaborative Networks That Share, Track and Present Sales Information Online

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. & MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.--Aug. 8, 2000--Interact Commerce Corporation (Nasdaq:IACT), the leading provider of interactive selling solutions, and CoVia(TM), the leading provider of private-label hosted Web applications, today announced the immediate availability of CoVia's SalesOnline application via Interact.com.

Officially launched today, Interact.com is an online subscription service that delivers a host of powerful Web-based services into the applications and devices sales professionals use every day. Interact.com makes the Internet a vital sales tool by working how, where and when selling professionals work. SalesOnline is one of the strategic services that enable Interact.com to help subscribers grow their business and better manage their customer relationships.

CoVia's SalesOnline application allows sales and customer service professionals to create private, personalized Web sites, or one-to-one networks, to communicate with customers and prospects. Completely wizard driven, the private client site now takes less than five minutes to set up and allows users to personalize each site to an individual customer.

``CoVia provides our Interact.com customers with a powerful sales cycle accelerator,'' said Phil Myers, president of Interact Commerce's Interact.com business. ``Customer collaboration over the Web increases the number and quality of interactions individuals and organizations can have with their best prospects. By enabling an efficient transfer of key information -- marketing materials, presentations, proposals, pricing and contracts -- sales professionals can effectively interact more, sell more and grow their business faster.''

CoVia's technology has been specially customized to seamlessly integrate with Interact.com. From within their contact management application, Interact.com users can create a private client Web site for a customer or prospect. All interactions on the site are then automatically recorded in the account records for that customer or prospect. The Web site tracks user information allowing the selling professional to see who visited the private site, what documents were accessed and what follow-up is necessary. In addition, the sales professional can be notified via a wireless alert when a customer has accessed the site or completed activities such as submitting a Request for Proposal. These tracking capabilities help selling professionals close deals faster, be more responsive and refine their sales processes ensuring targeted, efficient sales interactions.

``We developed SalesOnline specifically for persistent, on line customer interactivity, so integrating our hosted Web application as a service on Interact.com is a natural fit,'' said Deidre Paknad, president and founder of CoVia. ``We were so impressed with the vision of Interact.com that we worked closely with the Interact Commerce Corporation team to integrate our application seamlessly into this new Web business. Considering the 3 million ACT! users alone, we are confident that our partnership with Interact Commerce will open new markets and speed the growth of our business.''
